Oh Jenny! I’m so happy for you!

  3. The timing is just perfect! We’re visiting with friends in Chevy Chase that weekend. My husband will come with me–and possibly my friends, but David has some health problems and is usually out by 9:30. I’m somewhere above Cloud 9 right now!

  4. Just so you know, people–I will still be working to have it open here in my home state and in other states. I’ll still go to it again at least once in the regular theater. I might go to NYC, too. I have many motives: to see a movie I know I’m going to love, to support Terry and Amy Gilliam and Sam Hadida, to pay my respects to Bill Vince, to see Heath Ledger’s final performance, to thank Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell for jumping into the breach and to let the distributors know that they have misjudged this movie’s appeal in the US.

There’s an awful lot of genius that went into making this picture, and even more heart. The least we can do, it seems to me, is to make an effort to acknowledge that and help others to share the experience of seeing the product of their work on the big screen. Fortunately, there’s also an awful lot of genius, dedication and heart here at the Support Site. The movie is made–whether it gets seen is in our hands.

  5. Good news, I’m happy for you Jenny!

  6. Yay, congratulations Jenny, you’ll love it!! I think its appeal may have been misjudged in quite a few countries not just US!

  7. Absolutely, Rachel. That’s clear in the awesome news from Italy–they had to put in in 80 more theaters and the opening box office was awesome! I’ve only emphasized the US because we were so late in getting a distributor and the they as much as said they were in it for the DVD rights and their interest was in “preserving films that otherwise would disappear from sight.”
